START OFF:  The designers start to arrive at HGTV Studios in New York City where they are met by the judges, whom gives them their first challenge.

FIRST CHALLENGE:  Each will design your own white box bedroom space based on a fellow designer.  TWIST:  Budget:  $500. & Shopping at:  Asian Marketplace.

EPISODE #2:  Fashion Forward Room Design.                                                              11 Left.

START OFF:  Designer's Penthouse.

NEXT DAY:  At the Studios - Genevie there with a guest.

          Design Star Fashion Show.

CHALLENGE:  Design an apartment based on the fashion inspired you. 1 BR apartment.  TWIST:  Will be divided into 2 teams:  Men vs. Women

GUEST JUDGE:  Audrey Slater, Redbook magazine.

PRIZE:  Winning room will appeared in upcoming issue.

- Judges viewed their shows.

EPISODE #3:  Symphony in the Name of Design.                                                          10 Left.

START OFF:  In the Designer's Hotel - waiting to see who got eliminated.

NEXT DAY:  ARRIVED AT:  Trump International Hotel & Tower's Rooftop where Vern was & a band playing.  Vern want even up the teams 4 Women & 6 Men.  So, the women picked Dan.

CHALLENGE:  Each Team will be designing a patio space inspired  by Music.  They select an an instrument.

- Tom - Sax,                                          Nina - French Horn,

- Michael- Trombone                                Trent - Keyboard,

DESIGN LOCATION: 200 square Feet Patio.

- Nina is a know it all & full of herself.

-  The Men's day bed DID NOT fit into the elevator.  Didn't measure  it.

JUDGES' WALK THRU:

-  WINNING TEAM:  Women & Dan.

     WINNER DESIGNER:  Nina.

- NOW: the men will have to Host a TV Show.

ELIMINATED:  Trent - he eliminated himself - does not like to fight.     

EPISODE #4:  Flower Power.                                                                                      9 Left.

START OFF:  In the designer's hotel - waiting to see whom was eliminated.

NEXT DAY:  Arrived At:  Fischer & Page, Ltd 150 W. 28th St., an Flower Store.

  - Candice Olson is there.

CHALLENGE:  Each each member must pick one 1 flower that will be your inspiration.  Designed a Studio apartment inspired by overall team bouquet BUT incorpating your own individual flower.

- Nina - Orchid,     Michael - Ranunculus,   Tom- Tulip,   Dan - Daffodil,  Courtland - Calla Lily,

- Casey - Hyacinth,  Stacey - Carnation,  Emily - Wax flower and Alex - Snapdragon.

- Not judged by team BUT as individuals 'cause no teams won.

- BOTTOM:  Nina, Courtland, Dan & Alex.

- TOP:  Michael, Tom, Emily. Stacey & Casey.

- Now the Bottom Must Record their Hosting Job.

- From the TV HOSTING JOB:  BOTTOM 2:  Dan & Alex.

ELIMINATED:  Dan.

EPISODE #5:  New York's Finest Makeovers.                                                        8 Left.

START OFF:  Arrived At:  A Big Facility NY Firemen's Training Site.

- Genevieve Gorder & Chief Phil Ciaravino was there.

- Mixing up the teams - 2 Teams:

TEAM 1:  BLUE TEAM:  Michael, Emily, Casey & Alex,

TEAM 2:  RED TEAM:  Nina, Stacey, Courtland & Tom.

CHALLENGE:  Designing a common space for real firefighters in a real NYC firehouse.  Must meet their needs & functional.  Keep in mind:  Couches & must corporate each of their style.  Then they tour the facility. 

DESIGN LOCATION:  Blue Team - Squad #18,

                                       Red Team - Engine #5.

- Michael hurt his thumb with the nail gun & was taken to the hospital.

JUDGES WALK TRU:  

- WINNING TEAM - Blue Team. & WINNER - Casey.

- Now The Red Team Must record a TV Presentation.

NEXT DAY:  Evaluation Room.

- Vern was very upset with them.  They used Black as color & the furniture in the room didn't fit & was black.

- BOTTOM 2:  Nina & Courtland.

- The judges watched their presentation of the two.

ELIMINTED:  Nina - was glad to see her gone.  Still did a mural.

EPISODE #6:  Getting Trumped.                                                                         7 Left.

START OFF:  First, it hard to watch this episode but I did.  Glad it didn't show Trump only Jr.  I stopped watching this episode.

- In the hotel Room waiting to see whom was eliminated.

NEXT DAY:  Arrived At:  Trump Tower in Manhattan.  Donald Trump, Jr. & Vern was there.

CHALLENGE:  Design a model apartment in the Brand New Trump property - The Trump Plaza Residence in Jersey City.  Also, taking a little of NYC  to decorate the apartment.  Must Select a NYC Souvenir package:

- WINNING TEAM - Blue Team  & WINNER - Alex.

 - LOSER:  Red Team.  The Judges was very upset with them.  Donald HATE it.

- NOW,   They get Record their Presentation.

ELIMINATION:  without seeing her TV Presentation - Stacey.

BOTTOM 2:  Tom & Courtland.

- Previewing the 2 TV Presentation.

ELIMINATED:  Tom - spend too much time in the samall bathroom & painted it dark ble with NO WINDOWS.

EPISODE #7:  Sears Catalog Kitchen.                                                      5 Left.

START OFF:  In the designers'' Hotel waiting to see whom return.  Courtland return & told them is was a DOUBLE ELIMINATION.

NEXT DAY:  Arrived At:  Brooklyn Studios, 211 Melrose Avenue. - Genevieve & John Gidding was there.  Sears Photo Shoot.

CHALLENGE:  Design a Kitchen for Sears Catalog Cover featuring Kenmore appliances in 2 days.  Tomorrow will have only 2 hours.  The teams are imbalanced.

GUEST JUDGE:  John Gidding.

- RED TEAM:  have only 1 player so Emily is put on the team.

Now, pick a basket for inspiration:  Italian, Tropical or French.

BLUE TEAM - Pick French Basket,

RED TEAM - Pick Italian Basket.

DAY 2:  The Phot Shoot staff Arrived.

 - WALK THRU BY THE JUDGES.

- Both Teams did a Great Job.  No Losing Teams.  Will be judge Individually.  WINNER:  Casey.

TO BE JUDGE IN STUDIO TOMORROW NIGHT:  Michael, Alex, Emily & Courtland.

-  Now, have to do their TV Hosting.

NEXT NIGHT:  Evaluation in the Studio.

- BOTTOM 2:  Emily & Alex.

- The Judges view the   TV Hosting Show.

ELIMINATION:  Alex.  ( I feel everyone teamed up   against Alex)

EPISODE #8:  Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen.                                            4 Left.

START OFF:  In the hotel's room, then then the phone, it's Vern - Chef Aaron Sanchez at his restaurant, Centrico, prepared a special meal for them.

               FINAL FOUR:  Emily, Cortland, Michael & Casey.

ARRIVED AT:  Centrico.  They think they have the day off.  Enjoying the meal.  When done then Vern & Aaron Sanchez comes in the restaurant.

CHALLENGE:  Select one of the 4 dishes that you were served for your inspiration, using that inspiration to create a dinning room space.  TWIST:  Using Old & Ordinary Furniture and a liv- in Space.  Only 2 days.  Working in teams of 2.  Casey & Courtland     and Emily & Michael.

START OFF:  In their hotel room waiting to see whom will return, then Michael return.

NEXT DAY:  ARRIVED AT:  Foley Square - all 3 judges are there, then Antonio Ballatore arrived, Winner from last season.  There are 3 Glass rooms there.

CHALLENGE:  Each will designing your own Sunroom that reflect your own design style in 2 days.

JUDGES WALK THRU:

- Now, all 3 will do the TV Hosting with only 2 takes.

EVAUTION THE STUDIO:

- The judges are previewing the TV Hosting.

EPISODE #10:  Lights, Camera, Action!                                                          2 Left.

START OFF:  The two are in their hotel room the next day, then then phone rang, Vern is calling. Congralution.   on making the final 2.  Now, it time to get ready for your biggest challenge, yet so meet us at the studio.

ARRIVED AT:  The Studio.

FINAL CHALLENGE:  Make a segment of your TV Show basic furnished NEW YORK Apartment 1-Bedroom with budget of $15,000.  TWIST:  The Ex- designer return as their helpers & was is supposed to their inspiration or client.

EMILY:  Dan, Casey, Stacey, Tom & Alex.  Tom will be client.

MICHAEL:  Courtland, Nina, Trent, Tara, & Julie.  Nina is his client.
